Cornerstone Energy Solutions is certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) to look at a home’s energy use. Many things besides energy use can be looked at by Cornerstone. Comfort can be affected at the same time as energy efficiency. Making you home more comfortable can be paid for with energy savings. Safety is another big thing looked for. Some gas burning appliances can pose a hazard for your home. 

 

Cornerstone staff will create an upgrade plan for your house after performing an energy assessment on it. This upgrade plan can be carried out by you or by us. This upgrade plan will usually include changes to your insulation, heating and cooling systems, and house air-tightness. There are tax incentives and utility rebates available to help pay for energy assessments and upgrades in many areas. Cornerstone can help find and get these.

 

The price for a home energy assessment (includes blower door test):

•$250 for a home less than 2500 square feet

•$350 for a home between 2501 and 4000 square feet

•Homes larger than 4000 square feet will be bid individually

 

The price for a combustion safety test (conducted on any house with gas appliances) is $150.

 

To have your house analyzed by a computer program to more accurately predict energy savings is $125.

 

To have Cornerstone bring an Infrared Camera along and provide IR pictures with the report is $100.
