Green Construction Course

Cornerstone’s Green Construction Class is unique. It is an in-depth study into the ins and outs of Residential Green Construction. A multitude of topics are covered from building science principles to alternative framing methods. The course is designed for professionals in every field of construction. A few of the topics that are covered include:

Understanding what Green Construction is all about

·Learn about different certification paths for homes and green professionals

·Gain an understanding of the many ways that Green Construction can be implemented in retrofits and new construction.

·Learn specific low-cost impact strategies for retrofit and new construction to get started in the green field

·Discuss marketing strategies and market trends for Green Construction

The Green Construction Class is very hands on. The goal is that if you have a construction background in a particular area, after taking this class you should be able to build the same projects you used to build, but Green. This course talks about design of Green homes, but is primarily for those who will be building them.

The Green Construction Class is offered in Rolla and nationwide. The course is one week in length and can be taken locally for $800. Our Green Construction Class was approved by BPI for 20 continuing education credits. Check out the calendar for class dates. The Green Construction Course has a minimum class size of 4.
