Bridging the gap between BPI and DNR requirements

Auditors graduating from a Building Performance Institute (BPI) class experience a significant step in knowledge needed to work under Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) guidelines. This course is designed to help new auditors to bridge that gap through explanation of how BPI and DNR standards overlap and differ. The one day course focuses on how to make recommendations for homes that comply with both standards. BPI has approved the course for 3.5 hours of continuing education units which are applied towards BPI recertification.

Mold in Weatherization Training

The presence of mold is a major factor to consider during the course of any home weatherization. This one day course is designed to foster safe practices when mold is present. The identification of mold will be one of the primary topics in the course. The causes of mold and how to identify those will be another topic. How to proceed once mold is detected will be the final. The course will outline allowable and unallowable expenses for treating mold, when working under the Missouri LIWAP. BPI has approved the course for 4 hours of continuing education units which are applied towards BPI recertification.
