BPI Building Analyst Course

The BPI Building Analyst course is intended for those who want to become residential energy auditors and, if successful, it leads to the Building Performance Institute Building Analyst certification. The class is two continuous weeks long and contains the written and field test for the Building Analyst certification.
The BPI Building Analyst certification is being recognized on a wide basis nationwide. This is a great course to use as an introduction to inspecting existing residential homes for energy efficiency. Students from all walks of life are welcome to attend. Energy auditing is particularly easy to add onto an existing contracting or home inspecting business. In these economic times, every bit of business counts.
Approximately half of the class time is spent in the lab or field. The rest of the time is spent in the classroom. Classroom instruction is intended to teach the basic principles of building science, home analysis techniques, possible weatherization improvements, and weatherization recommendation selection techniques. The field time is spent in nearby houses to give participants the real-world experience they need to succeed as practicing energy auditors.
Cornerstone’s BPI classes are held at a wide variety of locations. Check out the page for it on our national training site. The course is offered locally for $1250 which includes all of the testing and material fees. Check out the calendar for upcoming dates.
